LES Students Want to Impact their Trick or Treat Goodies Through Math

survey picLexington Elementary EAGLE students are working on a math unit that teaches them to gather categorical data and then analyze the results. They decided it would be a great time to encourage parents to buy their favorite candy. So they had to determine what the favorite candy and the least favorite items were for our students to get in their trick or treat bag. The students developed a Google form linked to a  QR code and used student iPads to give the survey. This allowed each new participant to access the form and vote immediately. The 4th grade EAGLE students met before school and with iPad in hand were ready to survey students as they arrived.

Click here to find out more about the results they found from surveying 209 students. They are hoping that parents will use these results when making candy purchases.
