November 8th – Veterans to Be Recognized at LES

jp_draws_US_FlagLexington Elementary will celebrate and honor Veterans on Friday, November 8th.  There will be a parade around the school starting at 8:15am.  The parade will be made up of Veterans, active military members, girl scouts, and cub scouts.  The parade will be followed by a special ceremony in the cafeteria.  The ceremony will consist of the presentation of the colors by our scouts, patriotic music performed by our Cats Choir; a speech by Mr. Cecil Costadoni, Army Chaplain, South Carolina National Guard; and conclude with a performance of TAPS played by Drew Gatch.  The ceremony is open to 4th and 5th grade LES students, visiting Veterans and military members, as well as other guests visiting LES.  Everyone is encouraged to wear red, white, and blue this day at school.
