Wildcats Recycling

Mrs. Daniels’ 4th grade students at Lexington Elementary IMG_0085are our Wildcat Recycling Team. The Wildcat Recycling Team (WRT) works diligently here at LES to recycle all types of paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and milk cartons.  Recycling at LES  is a huge success because everyone works together to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as we can each and everyday.  Each classroom, office area, and workroom at LES have recycling bins to house recycled materials.  Members of the WRT go around the school approximately every three weeks using 40 gallon rolling bins to collect the recycling materials that would otherwise be thrown into the trash.   Our recycled materials are then picked up by Sonoco Recycling Center in Columbia and used to make all sorts of new things.
