LES Teachers Receive Classroom Supplies from the Office Depot Foundation

LES with School name - colorLexington Elementary School has always been a long-standing partner to local businesses and charities in the Lexington Community. This past fall Lexington Elementary was invited to submit an application to the Office Depot Foundation for the chance to be recipients of supplies and materials for educators. The Office Depot supports programs that enhance quality of life for children, strengthen communities, encourage both local and international growth, and empower schools and non-profit organizations.

This year the Office Depot Foundation recognized Lexington Elementary teachers’ commitment to enable their students to be thinking, productive, responsible citizens while engaging in a high- performance learning culture. Principal Jim Hamby was notified that Lexington Elementary School had been selected for this honor earlier this fall. This past Tuesday, January 20th Office Depot store manager, Dee High and fellow employees came to Lexington Elementary School to present Mr. Hamby and his entire teaching staff with hundreds of supplies and materials for their students and classrooms.
