Career Awareness Week at LES

Monday, May 18th – Author Visit/Dress Like a Pirate Day (no weapon props)egg-pirate

South Carolina author, Melinda Long will talk about how she became an author. She writes popular children books featuring pirates.



Tuesday, May 19th – K-2 “Careers with Vehicles”

Kindergarten, First and Second Grades will see and experience a variety of careers involving the use of vehicles. The back bus loop will be lined with vehicles, and the operators of those vehicles will be sharing details of their jobs and how their vehicle helps.

Wednesday, May 20th – “Career Dress-up Day”

All students are invited to dress in outfits that represent a job or career in which they are interested. Our cameras will be on the lookout for our students’ different career interests!

Thursday, May 21st “Career Speaker Day” for 3rd – 5th grade

Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades will host a variety of speakers representing numerous career clusters. Each student will be able to choose 3 speakers to visit and learn first-hand knowledge of the world of work.
