Dear LES Families:
It is with a heavy heart I write this letter to all the parents of students at Lexington Elementary School. You may have already heard rumors to the effect, but I wanted to make an official announcement about my retirement as the school’s principal and sometimes science teacher. My last day in the office will be on January 17, 2020.
When I first entered this building over 12 years ago, I was an assistant principal. I thought it would be a short stay. A way to continue to grow as a school leader. Little did I know I would fall in love with LES and find a deep affection for trying to instill a love of learning in others. I would be remiss to imply there were not times I wanted to run from the building screaming, but there were far more times when I thanked God He chose to put me on this path.
When I was selected as principal in 2010, I gladly took the reins. I had so many ideas and dreams for this school and am happy to say I have seen many of them to fruition.
May I say it has been a pleasure collaborating with the students, parents and teachers that made my tenure here such a pleasure?
Thank you all.
