New Playground Completed!!

Yesterday we got to celebrate the completion of one of o.ur new playgrounds with a simple Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony. Our 5th grade class had the honor of being the first class to try out our new playground equipment.

Mr. Hamby spoke about how this had been a dream for many years and finally it had come to fruition! We are so grateful to Lexington School District One for replacing not one, but both of our playgrounds! Our lower grade playground is scheduled to be completed soon!

There is now a new safe, cushioned surface and some amazing new equipment such as climbing nets, saucer swings, hanging pod links and more! Of course we have the traditional slides, but enhanced! They are coming out of a castle/fort structure that encourages climbing. A favorite seems to be a new take on the old-fashioned merry-go-rounds and “monkey bars” – bearing little resemblance to the ones we grew up playing on!

Ask your student what their favorite was!
